MP Walden Ltd have been approved by the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) and are on the current list of EVHS approved installers. Using a government approved installer is a must if you want to claim a government grant for your charger.

We visit your home and install your charger how you’ve indicated (brick wall, stand etc…). We’ll neatly run the cable to your electric meter and tidy up after.
Our engineer will walk you through your chargers operation and answer any questions. If your charger comes with an App (most do) we’ll run you through setting that up too.
All paperwork including certificates and guarantees are completed and sent to you via email. We’ll also be on hand after for any post installation support you may need.
As mentioned above, grants are available that can assist with the initial purchase cost of eligible plug-in vehicles. Some even cover the cost and installation costs of charge points. The following grants are currently available in the UK. Additional grants for electric vehicles purchased and used in Scotland are available, please ask for details. Flat owner-occupiers and people living in rented properties can benefit from significant savings on EV charging stations via the EV Chargepoint Grant. You need to have off-street parking to be eligible. The grant provides a 75% contribution – up to a maximum of £350 – off the cost of purchasing and installing a home charging point.
(This scheme replaced the Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme (EVHS) on 1st April 2022. Grants are no longer open to homeowners (including people with mortgages)).
House owners who wanted to take advantage of the grant must have had their installations completed by 31 March 2022.
A new scheme has also been introduced and is available to provide funding to install electric vehicle charge points as a landlord, social housing provider or property factor in their rental and leasehold properties. This scheme replaces the old Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme (EVHS). For details on both these schemes see our Domestic Charge points page or give us a call.
The Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) is a voucher-based scheme. It provides support towards the up-front costs of the purchase and installation of electric vehicle charge-points for eligible businesses, charities, small accommodation businesses and public sector organisations.
WCS provides a grant equal to 75% of the purchase and installation costs of a chargepoint, capped at a maximum of £350 for each socket up to a limit of 40 single or 20 double sockets per company. This remains unchanged as of 1st June 2024.
